H5B5 Media is producing Germany's first international science fiction series: "Ice Planet" is designed as a huge galactic adventure along the lines of the globally successful "Star Wars" series and is due to be launched on American and German television in the year 2001.

The fiction department is also developping scripts for feature films, TV movies and TV series. The team consists of full-time employees and free-lancers, and they are all overseen by experienced producers and screenplay editors. In addition, young, talented authors and those who do not have much experience are given the opportunity of turning their visions into reality. Scripts are designed to appeal to both the German and international markets. One of the first series projects is based on a likeable gang of crooks in Berlin. H5B5 Media AG has been able to recruit the services of Arno Funke, better known under his pseudonym "Dagobert", to provide ideas for this lively comedy thriller entitled "The Berlin Gang". Shooting for the pilot film is scheduled to begin in 2000.
